Background: Laura Bow just moved to New York to work as a newspaper reporter. Her first assignment is at a banquet at the Leyendecker Museum, where the Dagger of Amon Ra had recently been stolen from the Egyptian exhibit. After meeting the man who first found the Dagger, the museum president, a necrophilic PhD who keeps pet cobras, a pompous policeman, a trigger-happy security guard, and number of other seemingly unsavory characters, it's clear the Dagger case is more complex than once thought, and lives are at stake!
